NYX Lip Lacquer Pots!

So from my Cherry Culture Haul I purchased some NYX lip lacquer pots. I got 3 of them & the colours are all gorgeous! The consistency is a little on the sheer side and they definately stick to your lips which means more staying power! yay! Im really loving these little pots of colour & they are great to add on top of a lipstick or very wearable on their own.

(From left to right: Rainbow, Coral-Licious,
Georgia Peach)

This is the Georgia Peach, which is a very nice light sheer pink.
This is Rainbow, a very nice nude glossy shade.
This is Coral-Licious! Such a pretty colour!
Decided to take some pictures of how they look on my lips, and I think they look really nice and im very pleasd with them. Go check them out and let me no what u thought? :)

Id heard a few good things about them, along with the bad but i made the decision it was more good than bad.
I made a purchase last week, and had a nock on my door this morning... it was my package! It only took about 5 days to arrive here in the UK, from the US! I was so shocked.

Insight into Fashion & Photographic Makeup Course

So I'm taking a part-time makeup course. I wanted to find out more information on this course before i started. I now have started the course and so i thought that this may now be helpful to others who are in the position i was in.

I'm studying at Swindon College in the UK. I'm not sure if the course is available in other countries but I'm sure there are equivalents.

The course is 15 weeks long, which consists of 1 lesson per week, and each lesson is 3 hours.

Ive had 6 lessons so far. The first 5 lessons covered all the basics you need to know on hygiene, the cleansing routine, the base makeup, and a simple smokey eye.

So the 6th lesson, was our first assessment and this was doing a Natural Makeup Look. The aim was to make the model look like she wasn't wearing any makeup at all, so this was fun. I'm guessing as the weeks progress we will gradually build up using more makeup for the looks.

Next week we are being assessed doing a Bridal Makeup Look, so i am looking forward to that.

Annoying Skincare!

So, i've been using Simple Skincare range for a couple of years now and about a year ago i found out about their oil balancing range, which i have found to be very good for my skin. I started using the Oil Balancing Moisturiser and also the oil balancing makeup remover wipes. Both worked very well and i was happy id found something which didnt aggravate my skin as it tends to be sensitive at times.
So anyway, i'd heard alot of good things about the Body Shop Skincare and i decided to give it a try. I purchased the Seaweed Cleanser and Toner and also the Mattifying Day Cream which is for Combination/oily skin. All the products smell really good and although i thought they were going to be great for me the toner seems to burn my skin off! The Cleanser and moisturiser seem to have a tingle, but when i use the toner and check in the mirror 5 minutes later my face is just covered in red and looks like its burning and its reeeeeeally sore!

So, im thinking maybe ill return these or give them to someone because i really can't use them. What i am happy about though is that i went to Boots today and bought some stuff from the Botanics Range as i really needed something to help my skin ( the body shop range also made me break out and each day i woke up with a new spot on my face!! Not good! )
I got the Face Sensitive Cleansing Wipes and ive used them already and they seem to be fine, no burning so thats great! I also got the Skin Brightening Toner which is for all skin types and i used that earlier too which gave me abit of a tingle, but thank goodness i didn't come out in redness again and my face didnt burn!!

After that though, as if i hadnt already used enough products on my face for one day lol, i decided to try the Aspirin face mask as i heard its meant to clear up any irritations and god, my face was bloody irritated!! :( The aspirin mask helped loads though so im really glad i found out about this and gave it a go, will definately be doing this again. Feels sooooo smooth now!

Anyways thats that little rant over and done with!! Damn u body shop!
